Me to believe that it was the updates that started the problem. My wife has a newer 920 and hers does the same thing following the updates, which leads I am hoping that the black update will correct the issue. Again this is new behavior following the updates. There just right it repeatedly sounds the charging alert. For what it is worth another issue I noticed following the upgrade is that the phone is much more sensitive to the placement of the phone on the wireless charger. Go to system settings -> notifications 2. Is hard to say which since they were all loaded just a few days apart. I am also on Oreo and after the upgrade is when I started getting those notifications. The phone charges then looses some of the charge over night then starts to charge again and when it stars to charge it sounds that alert.
